Texans really did a baller job today though. I'm not even a NFL fan but I like to watch and that was a great game to see. Good job to Houston.
Cowboys can still pick this up though, more games on the way.

The Dallas-Washington game was replete with mistakes on both sides. What a sad ending it had for a Cowboys fan. I'm not much of a Cowboys fan, but it made me feel sympathy for them, celebrating in the end zone and then finding out that it didn't count.

The Cowboys are seriously overrated. The team receives so much hype, that many of their players are overrated. Their running backs are average at best. Really, would you honestly consider Felix Jones, Marion Barber, or Tashard Choice top 15 running backs? Roy Williams was suppose to be "dedicated" this season, but he sucks. Not to mention the O-Line depth is crap. Looks like those who saw the Cowboys faults in the preseason, and didn't just dismiss it as "well, it's JUST the preseason", are right. We'll see how the Cowboys respond next week.

Meanwhile in Houston, Arian Foster runs 33 times for 231 yards (second most in NFL opening day history) and 3 TDs.

that's the problem though... every year it's the same thing over and over and over. they never "fix" their penalty problems. and every time they have a miserable game it's always "we'll turn it around next game.... we'll regroup." or uhh, "it's just one loss." even if they "pick it up" they are going to drop it somewhere around the end of the season. they are undisciplined, and are still lacking in coaching. sometimes it seems like i have more passion than wade phillips and jason garrett. it's ridiculous. they just look like sad little boys every time a cowboy makes a mistake.

then you look at shanahan and he's as calm as you can be and if his players make mistakes, a good coach knows how to call them out.

But Jerry Jones will probably never hire a "good" head coach again. He seems to like the lameduck coaches (like Wade).

it's true, that they are overrated but here's the deal. it's not the leagues fault they are overrated. the cowboys themselves overrate themselves. they have plenty of talent on offense and defense, but they can never "get it together". that's why they are overrated.

sure, williams sucks. and sure felix, marion and tashard are not top contending running backs BUT they all can start on any team. they are very reliable running backs.... it's because of these things that the league expects more out of the cowboys. it's ALL in the coaching. it's like the coaches don't put fear in their players about playing the game, or something i don't know. but man, it's telling that these coaches aren't doing what guys like tomlin, payton, or dungy do to make their players play to their potential.

I doubt Felix, Marion, and Tashard can start at RB on any team. Maybe a handful of teams, but not any.

With a crushing loss by the Houston Texans last weekend it makes you wonder if they should even be playing in the NFL, and not that the Texans are all that bad, they're a good expansion team considering how few years they've been playing. The Cowboys looked so bad I bet the Texas Aggies could have beat them. Romo got the **** sacked out of him several times & looked like a total wash up then there was that play where it took 3 or 4 Boys just to get that Texans player down by the jersey. The spotlight of the night was shown upon quarterback Matt Schaub & a blood thirsty Houston team.

IMO the Dallas Cowboys are a relic of the past. Its nice to reminisce their glory years, but lets get real here, they havn't had a good coach since Jimmy Johnson & Jerry Jones did his best to screw that little relationship up by telling him how to coach the team.
Putting the Cowboys in Arlington was a HUGE mistake. They will never be the same team again. All anyone has to do is look next door to the Rangers to see that Arlington is bad luck for sports teams. They should of stayed in Irving or moved back into Dallas.
