Downtown Dallas landmark building redo winds up in bankruptcy | | Dallas Morning News
This was simply due to management. There are plenty of other former office buildings that were converted to residential/hotel in Downtown Dallas. So, why are you trying to use an isolated case as if it is the norm in Dallas?

No, it doesn't. According to the article only 1,900 apartments are U/C in downtown Dallas.

Downtown Houston has over 3,100 apartments U/C.

I read the title. Its disingenuous. Downtown is DOWNTOWN. Uptown is a completely different district. I dont understand why y'all feel the need to make up some arbitraty "downtown area" other than to boost your numbers. Where is the defining line of "downtown area"?

It has always been apart of the downtown area....well before Uptown was even created. Heck, it's literally right next to Downtown....

Add Midtown Houston to that 3,000 number.

Yep, Midtown has around 1500 apartments U/C, so between downtown and midtown there are just as many apartments U/C. Throw in the Circuit on the east side of downtown, Broadstone Skyline complex to the west, and the complexes going up across Memorial Dr/Buffalo Bayou to the northwest and you've got probably 6,000 or so apartments U/C in the "downtown area" of Houston.

Lol calm down. Most people in Dallas refer to anything within a 2 mile radius of downtown as downtown. A majority of people identify Deep Ellum, Uptown, Victory Park, ect. with downtown. You're overreacting.
