Hell yea, Billy! My scoot has been put away for a couple weeks ever since a cool day, I went for a little blast down the road with no coat on and damm near froze to death!
Now its under its winter cover and sitting on the battery tender awaiting spring. Having just been in El Paso where its unbelievable to find 70 degree weather in December, I commented to the wife - "I will be doing a whole lot a riding with days like these!!!"

I wish I could have been there. Just getting a few last details worked out. I'll be spending time between W Texas and Lake Havasu City AZ. My parents are getting up in age and I have to help out where I can. It is about 680 miles between those points, about 12 hours. I fire up the KZ1000 and enjoy the ride. Now if I could only get my wife to start riding. I don't mind her riding along with me, she is my favorite backrest. I just want her to enjoy cycling as much as I do and I know once she gets a throttle in her hands, she'll be hooked.

I'm ready for a cowboy shoot. My Winchester 94 45lc is all oiled up and at the ready. I also have a Mosin-Nagant 1891 that I'm dying to spend some time with. I don't get to shoot much here in IL. Most of the ranges have been shut down. The few that remain are so crowded you can't get in.

I can't wait to meet everyone out there. We are supposed to hear something in the next few weeks about a buyout with this floodplain issue. If it doesn't happen by next summer, I'm going to scrap this trailer and get outta dodge. Times awastin and I will not stay for another winter in the midwest.

SWSIDO, what do you ride? While I'm asking, who else down there rides and what?

See, now I'm all riled up thinking about riding. Last winter I spent better than half of it in AZ, CA and NM. Put on about 4k amazing miles.

Here are most of the loves in my life in one pic. Only ones missing are my pooches. This is at McDowell Mountain just outside of Scottsdale AZ. This was taken after my wife's first ride on this bike. She has never been on a motorcycle with me before. Took 2 hours to wipe the smile off her face. My other bike is a 1984 FJ1100 and has a solo seat on it. It is my mechanical mistress.

Billy, let me introduce myself - my friends call me Steve!
I ride a 1990 HD FLST Classic - rare bird as its one of the few yellow and white ones made. Been riding my whole life since I was old enough to hold up one of them Rupp mini- bikes with a 3.5 HP on it -lol!.
Personnally I dont care what ya ride as long as you are out there in the wind. I know Brie and Tee ride - seen thier bikes last time I was out there.
As for Bob, well maybe someday we will get him on a trike!

I got a couple pooches as well - 2 black lab girls whom my wife treats like kids since our kids are grown up now.

As far as guns - none at the moment but will be collecting a few once I live in West Texas which I am planning on in 2 years from this coming spring.

Pleased to meet you and someday ALL of us will take a nice scenic ride around the beautiful West Texas!!!!!

Good to know ya Steve. I'm going to hold you to that scenic ride. We have lots in common. Been riding since I was 12, so 36 years or so. I don't care about brand names and I've owned lots of them, Triumph, Norton, MotoGuzzi, HD, every Japanese brand. Truth be told, I'd have a different bike to ride for every day of the year if I could. Right now I'm riding what I can afford. I have a bad habit of saving up for what I want and not getting rid of what I have. My FJ1100 was the first brand new bike I ever owned so I can't seem to part with it.

We will be full-timing in our motorhome so we didn't want big dogs. We have 2 Pomeranians, Foxy is 15 and Lemmy is 4 months. I get teased for having ankle biters but I love the breed. They make great traveling dogs and alarm dogs.

Now I'm really pining for the desert. All in good time.

Billy, I like the story about your wife grinning after her first ride. I can absolutely relate. My wife hadn't been on a bike before we met and she absolutely loves it now!
I cant even talk about selling a bike without her saying"NO".
She wants to learn to drive one but has no real desire to have one of her own - yet, but I may change her mind once we start cruzing the roads of West Texas. Theres a couple of great stretchs out there - Rt. 1111 and Rt. 54 are wonderful to cruise - miles of ranchland with mountains in the background. We just ran the Rt. 54 one on Saturday when we were out there - God's country for sure!

While I'm thinking about it, any word on Paulville out there? Is there anyone living out there? It was big news on the net for awhile. Looks like they got their 15 mins of fame.

Default Brie and Tee's bikes

I have a restored 1980 Suzuki GS 1000, the last year of the "Super Bikes" before they put fairings on them, and called them "Sport Bikes".
Tee has a Suzuki GS 850. Brie
