Just got back from CA and the subdivisions look worse than the Houston suburbs after the oil bust in the 1980s. Many abandoned homes - I knew it was bad but I never thought about it being that bad.

Didn't see any "GTT" signs on the doors but you know a lot of them are here now trying to tell us what to do...

I can tell you that them figures are wrong.. and it will soon show on the next census for those stats.

No we need more high paying jobs.. Minimum wage should be 9-10 bucks here. Homes here are now in the 150-250 range pretty much like the rest of the country, and we pay higher property tax than just about any place in Texas.

Well we can't really change to another field since that would require us to go back to school, which we have no money whatsoever to do, and we've looked all over the state. El Paso, Austin, Houston, San Antonio, Dallas, etc.: nothing. My boyfriend had interviews from companies in all those places, only to either never hear from them again or hear that he was rejected. And I just have not found anything anywhere in Texas: El Paso, Austin, Houston, San Antonio, Dallas, etc.

Maybe you WILL have luck somewhere else. But I also have to wonder if it's not just something in the way you are percieved in interviews or how you resumes are written. That's a big list of cities to have absolutely no luck.
