wow. thats pretty sad if nothing is hotter than the tech industry in Dallas, when even Houston has a hotter tech industry (which isn't the hottest industry in Houston). lol.

The Valley And The Upstarts: The Cities Creating The Most Tech Jobs | Newgeography.com (info below from the graph at the bottom of the link)

4 Houston 77.8 42.3% 18.5% 1.26 37.8% 12.3% 1.30
18 Dallas 52.1 43.9% 6.0% 1.11 22.0% 5.4% 1.20

Houstons high tech industry grew by 18.5% between 2012-2014. Dallas' lagged behind with only 6% growth.

Dallas tech industry is already larger than houstons...just because you are finally growing doesn't mean anything to industries that's BEEN GROWING and are now slowing a little.....it's the same as the population growth of the two metros.......Houston might be growing a little faster than Dallas but the gap ahead of houston is 5 or 600,000 ppl already!!!....and dallas is growing just as fast so that gap will be around for a while.

Dallas down 1-3 to Houston in the playoffs and they are chanting "Houston sucks" and acting like they are going to the Finals or at least ahead in the series. And Houston supposedly as an infierority complex? Please.

Houston is the more dominant team in this series. As much as i hate it. The Mavs had a good game last night but houston is already too far ahead.......Houston has this one..........go MAVS?

I saw that. They really, really didn't want to be swept by a Houston team, and I can't blame them! If we were in their position, I'd be feeling the same way.

Even though its just sports, its times like these that make me just shake my head and laugh when Dallas people claim that they "don't even think about Houston".

Ooook.

Oh really Jim? That's why half of Texas' population prefers to live in either Houston or DFW..? And last I checked this thread isn't about east Texas.

The Wilshire will break ground in June, and The Arabella will break ground in October. in a few years Westcreek Lane will look like a mini-more urban-Post Oak Blvd.

11 units have sold in about a week at The Wilshire.

Pelican Builders is breaking ground on The Wilshire at River Oaks District in June, bringing 96 luxury condos to the buzzy mixed-use development. Pelican's Derek Darnell tells us the 17-story high-rise opened its sale center last week and has already sold 11 units. Westcreek Lane will look like Post Oak in a few years, Derek says. Besides the River Oaks District, Gables is building directly across the street from the Wilshire, and Novare and Randall Davis also have projects planned there.

3 units have sold since Friday at the Arabella.

On the upper floors, Arábella will feature 13 penthouses, six of which will have private swimming pools on their terraces. The penthouses will have an upgraded appliance package, a TV in the bathroom as well as heated tiled floors. Several of the units will have private elevator access.

Perhaps Arábella’s most striking feature will be its facade, which features 10-foot-tall sections of fritted glass with white dots that resemble clouds in the sky, Davis said. The idea was popularized by architect Richard Meier’s high-rise projects in New York City, Davis added.

I'll say this about the Mavs. The offense is much much much better without Rondo. 128 and 121 points in back to back games. Gonna try to get Aldridge back home. It will be between Portland, San Antonio, and Dallas IMO.
