I've been reading a lot of motorcycle trip reports lately of people going from the USA to tierra del fuego, argentina and of course central america is along the way. These riders always seem surprised after the less expensive southern mexico and guatemala that how high the prices are in Costa Rica.
Again hopefully the OP will let us know how Costa Rica is on $1.65 a day. Should be interesting to hear.
