Does anyone have travel plans to Europe? I have decided to complete my bucket list in the next 2 years. In April I am going on a tour that includes Zurich, Munich, Salzburg, Vienna and Prague. I had one planned for during the pandemic which didn’t happen of course. Then in fall 2024 I am taking a tour of France. I have been to Europe 5xs and these trips will complete my must do list. Another of my good friends died 2 weeks ago and it really hit home that as one gets closer to 70 life can be short.

Knock on wood, I will be off to Crete in February 2023, and the Azores in the fall of 2023. My bucket list has been steadily tilting away from Europe, though, in favor of less-traveled places (though it may tilt back again as grow older).

We’re currently waiting to see if we won the right to buy non-insanely priced tickets in the Wimbledon ticket lottery. We’ll probably still end up in Scotland either way but that will make a difference in trip duration. Had a blast spectating at the Tour de France this year and I’m kicking around the idea of Paris 2024 because the French know how to cheat a spectacle that will make for an amazing Olympics.

Beach, I didn’t know the Olympics was going to be in Paris. I don’t want to be there then so will look up the dates. Sounds like people have some fun trips planned).

We were in Germany, visiting my step daughter in Giessen, Germany in 2006. Son in law was in the Army and deployed at the time. You said you wouldn't want to be in Paris if the Olympics were going to be there, we took the train to Cologne to do some sight seeing, not thinking about all the World Cup soccer games going on. I have never seen so many soccer balls in all my life. We were going to walk through the cathedral and people were out there kicking their ball against the side of the cathedral all the time. It would have suit me fine if I hadn't seen another soccer ball for a long time. lol

The morning we left Rome in 2002 the million person March was occurring and the number of people was unreal. Luckily we were going to the airport at 5am so would have been worse later.

We were think of going to Spain next year but have booked South Africa instead.
Might still go to Spain and the UK but our dollar is low at the moment, flights costs are high and the accommodation in London is very expensive for us. We have been to the UK eight times so it is an issue of diminishing returns!
If I was American I would jump at the chance to go, with the US dollar so high.

We're going on a European cruise next year that starts in Southampton and ends in Fort Lauderdale. With the price of airfare, it's cheaper to sail across the Atlantic than to fly over it.
