Are the harnessed kids being used as soldiers against them an omage to the current zombie fascination?

Wasn't this batch of kids exposed to radiation? That would explain it.

Caught the 2 hour season premiere last night.

The nuke kids were definitely made to resemble zombies, although it was stated that it was the radiation doing that to them. I almost expected to see a mercy killing of the one who was crying "Help me" outside the plant. Wasn't sure if TNT would go there, though.

Something tells me the new aliens are not the galactic do-gooders they make themselves out to be. Sure, they share a little of their tech with the humans, but then they - with hundreds of years of experience fighting the fishheads - stay back in their bunkers watching porn to learn English while the humans take on the enemy.

I am glad they made Matt less of a wuss this season. He's more like the kid with the bad haircut that died last season. He's just got to stay in school and stop blowing sh*t up unnecessarily.

Yeah, it definitely seems like the newbies will be letting both sides kill each other off so they can take care of what/who remains.

Maybe they didn't want to attract any attention either with the kid. Their attitude is sort of splintered. One hand, they try to rescue them. On the other hand if fully controlled and dangerous, they don't mind killing them either. I'm not entirely sure that someone dying of radiation poisioning would look like a zombie and act like one but who knows. Now we got the obligatory zombie reference.

Oh, I agree about the new aliens. If they defeated the invaders, then why aren't they out there lending battle assistance? Giving a bit of help, sure, but I suspect they also have plans for the humans which do not include operating on their own... Is Earth Poland?

Matt has progressed to the stage when all the old memories have faded and all he knows is the world in front of him and what matters is what's needed there. They're playing him just perfect. And so have the adults or someone would have second thoughts on sending him in to plant bombs.

Yeah, the toxic avenger zombie kids were a surprise but I missed the whole radiation as the cause explanation. I just assumed that they were more advanced harness kids and were being transmogrified into skitters.

Tom even said himself that he didn't remember a lot during the time period he was abducted. The aliens could have planted something in Tom like they did his son Hal. I think whatever the aliens did to Tom is genetically effecting his newborn child as well. I just have a gut feeling that's the reason why Tom's newborn baby is acting so strangely.
Yeah that explanation works but it just seems so odd they'd pick that as a plan to defeat the humans. Especially with all the tech and weapons they have and the off chance that Tom gets any woman pregnant.

I just caught a commercial for "Falling Skies" on TNT. How did I miss this sci-fi show? This will be it's 2nd season, right? I need to watch the first. Then read this thread.

No this will be the third season, you need to go watch the first two.

I found out about it a few months ago and caught up watching the first two season before this season started.

Its not a real great show in my opinion, but it most certainly is better than most of the other shows out there right now.
