I like Jon & Kate; the kids are cute.
Sounds like we're in the minority - but I feel the same way about the show... I like it too. I don't go out of my way to watch it, but if I pass by it, I'll watch it and enjoy it.

Exactly how I feel.
I did start taping it, just so I could see what's being discussed in this post.

FWIW, there is another Jon & Kate post for people that do like the show...

I used to watch it....back when it was real. But now, it is way over the top. I actually feel a bit sad for all of them. It is wonderful that their kids are getting experiences they wouldn't normally get, but how can the show continue to be reality when they are becoming so famous? Heck, there are 19 pages of comments here about the family!

If you want it done right you have to do it yourself.
Yeah but pay somebody else to do the dirty work - like the moldy fridge - then it takes a heck of alot less time to do it your own way.

I wouldn't pay someone top clean my fridge.

Screw that. If I needed to, I bet an efficient housekeeper can clean my house very well! I know many other things I'd rather be doing than cleaning a huge house top to bottom.

I would, esp if TLC was footing the bill, I'd pay somebody else to clean it first. I'd still probably clean afterwords, just to make sure it was sanitized.

But that being said, neither of us will be in that situation.

I couldn't imagine making my kids sleep on the laundry room floor when they're sick. I've had five kids at once all puking their guts out while being sick myself along with DH, kids not always hitting the bucket, and having to change the bed clothes. I still couldn't make them sleep on the laundry room floor to avoid any of that. If I wouldn't do it, I certainly wouldn't make them do it.

I don't watch the show that regularly so am not trying to be overly critical, but I did happen to pass through the channels during that particular segment and it really irritated me.

I didn't think putting the sick kids on the laundry room floor was so bad--pretty certain my Mother would have done this had a laundry room floor been available. Certain I wouldn't have cared.

Last night featured the delivery of the new washers and dryers. The family seems happy in its new home and I wish them well.

I wonder if Kate had coupons for her new microwave, dishwasher, washers and dryers, and the new fridge she had alread gotten. Cuz remember last week? "JON WE DON'T BUY ANYTHING WITHOUT A COUPON!"
