Didn't she say earlier she wanted to be a country/western singer? I didn't understand her song choice or arranging it that way. I thought what I'd seen of her earlier was good, but that was just not.
That's Haeley Vaughn. I've been complaining about her making it into the top 24 for some time. She's a TERRIBLE singer. It just doesn't make sense to me that they chose her. The top end of her voice is scary sounding. It just freaks me out to hear her----like nails on a chaulk board.

Since she's young, she could definitely benefit from voice lessons. She needs to learn how to keep her voice from going into those terrible places---more voice control. She's super cute, but she needs more training. She's not ready for anything at this point.

None of the girls in the top 12 stand out, beside the one that sang the Alanis song. She does need to make the songs her own though. I think she will make it far. We'll see what the boys bring. However, no one is knocking my boots off like seasons passed....at least not yet.

Seems like most the girls sound like cats crying. No WOW factor at all. Were seasons pass I was WOW so much I couldn't wait to see the next show.

I also was disappointed in last night's performances. And I also can't stand Haeley's voice. She looks as though she's constantly smiling. It's distracting.

I switched channels after the second girl sang. I knew it was going to be boring. I saw the rest of the girls sing on youtube and one word sums up last nights singers...meh.

Well that's a little more than an hour (with tivo) that I'll never be able to get back.

I can't get over how bad all the song choices were last night!

they sucked. Of course, after last year's talent, this year will be hard pressed to live up to that.

No stand outs this year, nothing like the seasons with Carrie Underwood, Jordan Sparks, Kelly Clarkson...I sure hope the boys sound better although Randy Jackson said On "Ellen" that he thinks this is the girls year to win

None of the girls I saw during the earlier shows who I thought could win, made it to the top 12. The top 12 women all are pretty bad. The only ones that I think are good are the one dark skinned black girl and the girl with the brown teeth who is a single mother.

But once again it's episodes like last nights that make you want the top 24 singers and not the top 12 girls and top 12 guys. It's not right to send two guys home each Thursday if the girls keep having nights like last night. They should send home the 4 singers with the lowest votes....regardless of their gender.

I hope the guys are better. I don't miss Paula. I liked her okay when she was on the show. I thought she added something to it, but I think it's better now with these 4 judges. Ellen is a great judge.
