While Bristol should definitely get her props for how much she's improved, at this point in the competition, it should be about the
best dancer. And IMO, Brandy is just flat out a better dancer than Bristol.
But that's why they have the call-in votes carry so much weight, I guess. It throws an unknown element in to the whole thing. If it was just up to the judges alone, we would know who was going to win halfway through the competition.
That said, I felt bad for Bristol, seeing the look on her face when they announced the results. She knew she didn't deserve to stay. If I was her I would be right P/O'd at her mom's groupies if they were 'stuffing' the ballot boxes.
They should call this phenomenon the Sanjaya Effect
Whether the teaparty did or didn't hack the vote, or crash the voting site, or whatever other rumors are going around, it
appears that they were behind this upset, and appearances can be very powerful.
I'm waiting for next week when Brooke asks her standard burning question: "So, Bristol, how did you feel when the results were announced?"
