Hello,

My apologies if this question has been asked before. I am new to this site.

About a month ago, I worked one day (I subbed a yoga class for $40 pay). I claimed this on my paper EDD claim form & mailed it, but apparently I got the business name of the employer wrong. EDD sent me a duplicate form and I filled it out with the correct information and mailed it again. So far, this process has taken about 3 weeks, and the payment I was supposed to receive 3 weeks ago now has a status of "submitted" when I check in online. They say that it will take 10 days for me to receive the payment.

However, here's my question. In this time frame, I should have received my next claim form (as they come every two weeks), but I have not. My guess is that they won't send my next claim form until the current one is paid, but I'm not sure. Of course, my fear is that I will not receive the money that I'm supposed to get.

Question: will I receive all the benefits that I should still be getting retro-actively once the current claim (the one I made the mistake on) is paid?

Many thanks,
gage

Besides CA's problems, when you don't submit a claim in a timely manner, the state is reluctant backpay for the period.

You don't have to have a paper claim form if you don't need to report wages. Try to do webcert or telecert. If you find that you are unable to access either of those options, desperately try to call CA and get a claim form before it's too late.
