Why do some think that these creatures have to be omnivores?
Because most primates are. And most primates aren't nearly fast enough to capture deer and pigs without weapons. Are Bigfeet crafting spears and arrows? Where is the evidence?

Evidence and observations and sightings say they are very fast. I gave you the answer i have. Do we really need to keep going over the denial of existence?
This is the UNEXPLAINED MYSTERIES AND PARANORMAL FORUM.
Why do some think that these creatures have to be omnivores? Deer and hogs are plentiful. These creatures have been observed in creeks and rivers get them some mussels.
A strictly carniverous diet, I believe, would make for a far more aggressive creature, than these appear to be. Plus, from a strict survival standpoint, it just makes more sense, that they would utilize all , available, resources. Since this is all , rather, hypothetical, it also seems to be sensible to believe they would be sensible.
The turf they inhabit, I have seen bring hardened , grown men to tears. I grew up gathering cattle in that same, high country. Most flora and fauna that inhabit it will either bite you, stab you, sting you or stick you. Life in the open there, is not suited to humans. Not average ones, anyway.
Even the apex predators, like Mountain lion, are not to proud to supplement their diet with berries and such. Hunger is a great leveler, to coin another phrase that fits.

Versatile, there seems to be a contradiction here; you have said that bigfoot are not strictly bipedal yet all the sightings and the video footage you posted have it that they are fully bipedal.
While some criticize us for asking for quality evidence; but isn't that what investigation is about. If there was ever solid evidence many of us would jump on the band wagon. We're skeptical when we are supposed to only believe anybody's sketchy account or fuzzy picture. If they want others to believe; they have to make us believers! I love the response that "Unexplained" means we are not to question!

This is also the only forum I've participated in where skeptic, scientist, logic, and reason all seem to be cuss-words, or at the least evidence of heretical thinking.

Sure they can go bi-pedal whenever they choose. They do travel quadrupedal as well.
