I bought myself a Roku for Christmas, trying to get away from Direct TV.
Anyway I did the subscription to Acorn/BBC it wasn't that much, less than $10 maybe 4.99 a month. They do need to add more programming tho because I have watched a lot of them.
I recommend "New Tricks" I can't remember if I watched that on Acorn TV or Hulu, Alun Armstrong is in that with a great cast, I was buying the DVD's from the UK up to season 5 so now I can watch thru the Roku.
I watched about 4 episodes of Upstairs Downstairs, its great! The actress who plays that guys mother steals the show, she's terrific
I can recommend "London Hospital/Casualties 1900" also
One thing I like about Roku is I can watch some of the USA series I never watched, I watched some of "America Horror Story" I love that, viewed about 4 of them, Jessica Lange is great!
Life Story has recently been on.. great documentary on wildlife
