Now lets compare GDP Q4 2018 with Q4 2017:

US +3.1%
Canada+1.6%
UK + 1.3%
France + 0.9%
Germany +0.6%
Italy +0.1%
Japan 0%

Meanwhile, the Eurozone’s economic slide continues with the latest manufacturing index figures showing the steepest contraction in manufacturing since June 2013.
February’s PMI figures showed a fall to 49.3 (anything below 50 indicates contraction), the lowest level since June 2013, with new orders at their lowest since April 2013 and export orders at their lowest level in over six years.
Germany’s performance was particularly poor on 47.6 – the worst in 74 months.
As the Eurozone heads nowhere but into contraction the UK economy is set to boom.

If you'd engaged your brain you would have seen it was the reprint of an article in the Telegraph by a British economist.
I can only lead a donkey to water - I can't make it drink.

Ah, OK, why not just link to the Telegraph then? Either way, it certainly isn't any form of proof that anything like that is actually going to happen, most British economists see it rather differently.

If you find the original article in the Telegraph you'll understand why I linked it this way.
" Most ' British economists also predicted huge job losses and a collapse in British industry immediately after the referendum.
His views are just as relevant as any other economist - I try to read all of them rather than just look for confirmation bias.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Canada...ucts_Agreement

A precedent for a trade deal for a specific industry.

I have noticed that services are a large and growing export for the UK. A UK/US deal for services need not obligate the Brits to accept chlorinated chicken.

Might not, but given that intentions the US have just formally published probably will.

Hmm, call me sceptical on that given that you chose to link to the one guy supporting your opinion rather than any of the dozens that don't!
