It's strange because many places had a very dry September and I thought we need some rain to get those colors. Yeah I agree, even here we're having some nice reds & oranges showing up. Especially the Sugar Maples seem more brighter than previous years.

Burlington 14th driest September with just 1.63". 2008 was 7th driest September.

I think we're done with 70s. Temps are going to get cold this weekend.

Heads up hikers. With the temps aloft crashing that means one thing...aside from dry cool temps at surface..

I can't complain. After those first chilly nights in September we had a great stretch of weather. Got some much needed rain yesterday as well.

Since beginning of June this has been the most glorious summer I've experienced during my 12 years in the state.

Lots of people will probably be suckered into moving here.

Southern VT had frost advisories.

Currently here its 41°F air temp here. and 36° at the ground. No frost.

Current temps nothing extreme. only 5-10 below norm. Dewpoints in the 30s & 40s. Not many wind chill values since winds are calm.

Look at Burlington! lol I wonder why.

From NWS Albany.

Current growing season ended for these locations.
