Cold front coming through! 1 more day for southern New England in the 80s.

Southern Vermont I think sees the warmest part of the day around lunch then starts dropping after the front passes.

The 3 days of warmth practically erased the well below normal month we were having. Such ashame when we go back looking at May 2017 monthly departure, we'll never know it was the Top 15 coldest for the first half

We hit 92 yesterday, which is really warm for us. I can feel the cold air coming in this morning.

Officially the 1st heat wave of 2017 for NYC, Hartford, & Boston. Burlington missed it by 1 day! Only max of 74 today. 93 yesterday. 91 day before

5:30pm my backyard station says its 87° outside with a dew of 65°. Just watered my shrubs. Truly feels like summer again. Wow. Haze around too. No Cicadas yet though.

Jet stream flattening out but not enough yet for us here. Still 90s in NJ, NYC and parts of CT. Lucky in Vermont in the 50s and 60s. 40s in Iowa and Chicago right now.

From Thursday afternoon:

Then we had big ol' thunderstorm, beginning around 9 p.m. (here in Brattleboro)-lotsa' lightning, gusts of wind & a bit of rain.
Saw mention/photos of storm damage in Rutland, Putney, Guilford, and other areas-Green Mntn. Power apparently had thousands of outages.

Friday was nice-sunny & windy, temps. in low 80s-yet this morning was merely in the high 30s.
One goes from digging out the box fan for the season to hauling the heater back out in such short span of time-guess that's spring for ya'.

Monday forecast is for temps to only reach the 50s, though warming back up to the 70s later in week (albeit, with more rain than sun).

Radar loop from 1:45-5:45am this morning. Dreary morning.
Light scattered rain showers and overcast skies will linger today

That red icon is Mt Washington Freezing Rain, which then changes to rain. Did you know they had the biggest May snowstorm on record?
