Because of the track of this storm, Vermont is on the rain side. But thats not the case for Western PA and areas near Buffalo and probably Lake plcid NY. Up to a foot is expected with higher amounts locally at higher elevation.

I doubt even the peaks in VT see any but please post if they do. :-)

Frost, but no snow today at 4000'. wonder if it was raining over night at 4000'? No real sign of snow, but it was cold at the top of Mt Ellen today.

Snowing at Snowshoe Mountain in West Virginia for past hour. 4500' but they are on East side of track. Unfortunetly we'll be on west side so should stay all rain. Chilly rain.

Freeze Warning for Windham and Bennington tonight 12-8am.

More snow for peaks possible tomorrow night.

Here's the NAM forecast. Basically shows 4-6" of snow for northern Maine. 0-2" for VT BUT... this is at surface. With the temps at 4000' well below freezing you have to assume the mountains could get some good snow. I'm thinking maybe 3-5".

Latest GFS model has 6-10 Degrees for 4000 foot level in northern part of state.

Looks like a cold weekend ahead. I havent checked the other models but if this verifies it would mean surface temps in the mid 20s and low 20s for 2000-3000'.
