lol. Nice. Unfortunetly all possiblities have diminished now. Nice Easter weekend coming up. Dry and average all week with some cold nights.

Next chance of Rain and/or snow would be around the 10th/11th.

You know people are going to blame you if it does... then again... I'm thinking about the people south of there who complain about a flurry. LOL

Models keep hinting at some snow down the road but who knows.

Lets play it by ear. For now Dry is the word. Seasonable is the other word.

There was a dusting of snow on the ground in the mountains in Shrewsbury/Plymouth yesterday morning, but it was already mostly gone by noon or so except in the usual shaded cold pockets.

For the past few days spring has actually felt like spring. A cold breeze out in the open and some warmth from the sun standing in a sheltered spot. I'll take that! I ran into a friend out in one of those open spots today. We were both walking our dogs. He was wearing a parka and a baseball cap and complaining of the cold. I was wearing a tee and sweatshirt with a tuque. I wasn't complaining. Funny how that works

Looks like models are faster with the storm now bringing it for the 8th and 9th. Have you guys seen the path of it?

Starts in Rockies, moves into South, exits South Carolina, Moves north up over the Atlantic Ocean, the Moves West back into the coast near Maine and into Canada. This is beause blocking is in place, something most of us wanted over the winter.

From BTV:

LATEST RUNS NOW BRING CUTOFF LOW FROM THE SOUTH OFFSHORE AND PHASING IT WITH NORTHERN SYSTEM OVER THE MARITIMES. THIS COMBINED SYSTEM WILL RETROGRADE CLDS/PRECIP BACK UPON THE NORTH COUNTRY RIGHT THRU TUESDAY.

EMPHASIS WILL BE OVE RTHE NORTHERN ZONES AS SFC FLOW SETS UP WITH LOW ENDING UP PARKING ITSELF OVER EASTERN CANADA. THIS IS GOING TO ALLOW COPIOUS MOSITURE TO PINWHEEL THRU THE CWA. COLDER AIR FILTERING IN WITH THIS SYSTEM WILL BRING A CHANGOVER TO SNOW SHOWERS DURING THE NIGHT-TIME HRS. HIR TTRN MOSTLY EFFECTED DURING THIS TIME

Latest GFS and EURO.

We'll see. BTV thought so but have changed the wording around in the latest update.

Biggest Issue will be surface temps. It also almost looks like the system is lacking moisture. Maybe just snowshowers. But Maine does get 3-5" higher local spots.

Thanks for the video. Very cool. I'm surprised it was snowing up on the mountain today. Was it moisture from Canada or Great Lakes?

You know what I would like to see, a video from someone that zooms into a mountain with snow on it. :-)

Lets see if some more snow can fall next week or so.
