From NWS BTV. Interesting. They want your pictures.

"An odd but fascinating day for weather across Vermont. Very little in the way of precipitation occurred at the Burlington International Airport, but a large amount of snow has fallen over the peaks of the Green Mountains and Adirondacks.

The cause: rain shadowing in the valleys with westerly winds at peak level, very moist upsloping air, and a persistent cold core low that is keeping the freezing level consistently around 2000 ft.

Have you seen any snow? If so, post some pictures!"

I have not seen any snow at all. Around here it's mid fifties and partly cloudy. Actually the sun is out now. This weekend is supposed to sunny and mid sixties.

A single day heat wave is forecast for Monday only. 80F+ then drops to normal temps on Tuesday. Maybe even 90 in the tropics of southern Vermont.
