We are still planning on a trip up to drive around the state for a good visit, probably in March...
Is March still considered mud season??
But it looks like our actual move will have to be put on hold (?) for a year or so maybe? Unsure how long- depends on my father's health. He is gravely ill and I don't want to move while he's going through this terminal illness. When we go in March, we might just look around at areas and maybe will go back up a few more times during the spring, maybe to buy a house and rent it out short term until we can move...
At least it gives us more time to plan & find a place

I'm terribly sorry your father is so ill.

March is winter and/or very early mud season, depending on what the weather's doing. It could be snowing a lot. It could be melting.

Sorry you have more family health matters to deal with........ but it actually still winter. I don't start raking snow until April. Yep, locals laugh cuz I'm out there spreading that snow out thin so it will melt quickly. I don;t have too much time on my hands but do it after work.....after all gotta plant all new things on Mother's Day!!!! (early for most, but I've never lost a plant!)

It's so odd to think of April as winter LOL... I mean, pretty much every day of May '09 was over 100 degrees. I hated it! Whatcha think, Swanstone... you're from here... February starts spring here, and March is spring, then April is spring/starting summer, and May starts summer...and that lasts through October or November or so... right? That's Houston! 2 months of winter, 2 months of spring... fall is still hot... the rest is summer... I can't wait to have real actual seasons.
