If one wants to look at life without a union, consider the Triangle Fire in NY or the Ludlow Massacre:

If Virginia Republicans had nominated Chase, they would have guaranteed a Democratic victory. By nominating Youngkin, they made the race slightly more competitive.

The Democrats still have the upper hand, especially if they nominate McAuliffe as currently expected. However, they should not take anything for granted.

That is incorrect. If he or another person read that and figured "Hey, I can move to Virginia and it will be Liberal there" in Two-Thirds of the state they would find that to be not true. If a large area is Conservative and a smaller area with a larger population out votes the larger area and the state becomes in Democratic control, that does not change the Conservative area. The People and the Local Governments not only remain the same, they may even become more Conservative in opposition.

Thus if the original poster or anyone else decided to move to Virginia because they believe it is Liberal, they may be in for a shocker.
That's literally every state. Urban = blue, rural = red.

He can campaign all he wants, spend all his money, stimulate the economy....but his chances of winning are slim to none.
When he is using weasel words before an election, if he hasn't the spine to stand up now and articulate his convictions and intentions, for fear of losing...what can be expected later ? Other that to vote strictly along party lines, why would anyone intentionally cast a vote for an imposter ?

Absolutely. He will be a redux of Pat McCrory in NC - campaigns as a moderate, pro-business Republican but governs as a hard-right 700 Club member. NC is still feeling the negative economic effects of that kind of leadership. Be wise, Virginia!

Nah, McAufflife is corrupt. Look at the way he minces his own words before criticizing Youngkin. Don't forget, if McAullife is so anti-Youngkin then why did he donate so much money to the Carlyle Groupe that Youngkin used to be CEO of?

We don't care what a politician's personal stance is on individual issues, we care about what he/she will do as our Governor. No Governor in the state of Virginia will attempt to ban abortion, it is too unpopular. So who cares how he actually feels about it?

It's about results people. And building back up the economy and making the state excel.

Youngkin has the rural and suburban vote. Just look around suburban Richmond, he is super popular here.

He was caught on a hot mic saying he would "go on the offense" against abortion... In this post-Trump era, Republicans don't even believe concrete evidence...
