Why does she have to be a dog to accept a McFish, exactly? If she had other positives going for her, agreeing to a Filet-o-Fish meal on the first date is a sign of a keeper, IMO.

We obviously date from a different pool of women.

my opinion is this...first date = first impression

do you see long term potential in her? if so, i'd gladly spend the $150 on oceanairre
if you just see another date, or another person to bed, save the $100 and spend $50 on Redlobster

A lot of potential, I just met her at a Super Bowl party and we clicked right away so this is our first date, and I want to make an impression. The way I see it, I'm probably going to spend close to $150 anyway at Legal Seafood so...yeah.

I wouldn't take her to Legal if you are trying to impress her a bit. Legal is cool but everybody goes there. There's a nice place on MacArthur Blvd in Palisades (DC) called Black Salt. It's quiet and quaint but really nice. They also have a raw bar if you like oysters, clams, etc...

Like (-) said, go to Oceannaire if you really want to impress her!

Impress her with what? With how much he's willing to splurge on her behalf? Why not just cut the foreplay, and simply hand her a copy of your ATM receipt while you're at it.
