I'm sandwiched in right between Gig Harbor and Oly. Both are nice cities, but I've been in Oly more than Gig Harbor as it is the state capitol. Olympia is a sprawling city, not large, but nice. (I don't like big cities but actually like Olympia.) They are both on Puget Sound so you would be near the water, but I think that there are more things to do in Oly. Gig Harbor is right across the sound from Seattle, just a ferry ride away. I could be mistaken in that statement though. Sure the "Greeners" are around, but they don't bother people. It's getting to the point where you see people with dyed green/purple/orange hair all over anyway. LOL There are many Christian churches/schools/organizations all over the area. So really the choice is up to you. If you can, take a trip to each area, or google them and have fun reading. *grins*

Thank you all for responding! We are going out there around August of this year. We are there for 8 days to just drive around and see where we like...thank you for all the suggestions. We will be sure to check out all the cities you all suggested. One thing did concern me a lot about Washington. I was reading through the other posts and saw a lot of mention of sex offenders and meth problems. I know everywhere has its problems, but these seem to come up alot in other threads.
