What about this?
Nice photos. I would consider them partly cloudy.

I honestly don't see anything bad about partly cloudy skies. There are enough clouds so that it's not too sunny, but not so many clouds that it's dreary. I like partly cloudy conditions as long as the sun is being blocked (if it's a warm day, that is).

Hmmm... With the wording what comes to mind, I imagine it based on mostly cloudy as having more cloud cover than not (literally more than half or most of the sky covered), and partly cloudy having more clear sky area than cloudy (being less than one half of the sky covered) but I don't know if that's really how it's defined.

Are you kidding?
Those count as sunny skies in Toronto.
Imagine the skies never being clearer than that for 3-4 weeks straight.
Memphis TN must truly be another climactic world apart.

I call that "partly-cloudy."

"Mostly cloudy" I associate with pretty dark skies, very few blue patches.

I'd say mostly cloudy is the worst. Like this:

Unless they show us interesting cloud formation, otherwise I just couldn't stand it. Give me a clear sky or overall overcast conditions over mostly cloudy weather.

I voted for 'Like'. A partly cloudy sky is better than totally sunny.

Completely clear sky is boring. I prefer when some clouds are always on sky. Plus, when in summer a cloud covers sun, it brings some relief of heat.

Partly cloudy is better than sunny, usually when it's partly cloudy something blocks the sun. I used to like sunny better, but now I drive and don't like sun in my eyes.
