Unless they show us interesting cloud formation, otherwise I just couldn't stand it. Give me a clear sky or overall overcast conditions over mostly cloudy weather.
I think that's an interesting cloud formation.
Why would you prefer overcast to mostly cloudy? Overcast skies are not very interesting.
Partly cloudy weather seems to be the norm here in summer. I prefer clear or mostly sunny weather but its still better than overcast grey muck, which is fortunately very rare here during summer.
Partly cloudy skies can be beautiful, with the right amount of cloud. Not more than 3/8. Even just scattered cumulus clouds, stretching off to the horizon. Clear skies have a beautiful colour, if you live in an area with low air pollution, but are featureless, and overcast skies are dreary (but sometimes I'm in the mood for that).
Blue dome always preferred. If the partly cloudy conditions are allowing sun at least 60% of the time it's not too bad. Far better of course than overcast conditions, which almost never have any appeal to me at all.
Partly cloudy skies are my favorite; sunny gets annoying because the sun is normally so bright it hurts my eyes, it's good when it's cool but not cold (50s and 60s Fahrenheit for example). Cloudy can get depressing for days on end, so I'd say partly cloudy (or partly sunny, depending on your POV) is among the best and most interesting current conditions.
