Still no warmth on the horizon for London, just average or below average for the forseeable future.

So which would you go for?

I have 3 rain gauges. 2 are manual in an open area. The other is electronic 2 feet above my roof. The 2 gauges confirm almost 2” of rain with this storm, the electronic just 1.52”. I have to go with the manual ones since they both are the same AND because The roof gauge doesn’t catch heavy downpours as well. One manual is in front yard, the other in back yard.

I find it fascinating how my location had so much more than other locations. I do live on top of a small hill so maybe that enhances rainfall a bit

Grass is growing quickly. I'm having trouble keeping up with the lawn when it keeps raining! Not that I mind, I love the greenery.

Yes, but only 7 times. The highest temp so far is just 23C which has been recorded twice. In a normal year we should have seen 21C around 20 times by now and at least reached 25-27C once.

Pretty much everywhere in England except Buxton has reached 70°F so far. I've only reached 20°C (68°F). Last year was well ahead of this. We'd already reached 67°F in March, then 26°C (78°F) in May, and 23°C (73°F) numerous times. June last year only had a high of a dismal 20.6°C (69°F), but that is at least better than this one has managed so far. So far, this year is far behind last year up til now in the warmth stakes.

We've had only 4 days reach 70F so far this year. Last year and the year before wed had 14 by now with the odd day around 80F. I can't be bothered looking any further back than that, but yeah, this year has been absolutely dreadful so far.

I hope that's not where we're heading, it doesn't seem that way, it's been warmer and sunnier than June 2009. But that can change.
