Marion, ND's average March high and low are 4°C (39°F) and -8°C (18°F) respectively. Going by your posts, this March seems to have averaged slightly above the 0°F range which is roughly 25°F (!) below average.

Are you seriously claiming this is the warmest March you've seen in four years? I'd like to call that BS and see some data on it as cold ramping can get quite bad on these boards as is. If it is true it's an extraordinary cold spell indeed.

While March has been far colder than average here as well, I don't think trying to make it seem normal or warmer than normal is of benefit to anyone.

Correction on that so the wrong info doesnt go flying around.. I said since 1983 not since records. Only because access to 1983 was easier.

Here's the data Since records began in 1940.. Miami's Top 10 coldest March's. So far tied for 7th coldest on record with 2 more days left of March

1968: 67
1947: 67.1
1941: 67.4
1960: 67.6
1983: 67.6
2010: 67.7
2013: 67.8
1969: 67.8
1954: 68.4
1986: 68.6

12°C and rainy today.

Yesterday felt like the first true spring day this year with blue skies in the afternoon and a high of 16.8°C, but that was temporary. Cooler and cloudier conditions than average are forecast to persist for at least 8-10 days.

Current monthly rainfall is 235.7mm (excluding today), easily beating the previous all-time record of around 200mm for March.

Current monthly sunshine is 136.6 hours, lower than an average December in both absolute and relative values.
(March average is 217 hours).

Average high is currently 13.3°C, barely higher than a typical January. Only the average low of 7.8°C is normal.

= ****tiest March in Nice in my lifetime so far
