Right. But it's the truth that Botev tries to ridicule London's climate all the time whenever the opportunity arises, and express Seattle's as vastly superior. If you don't see it I suggest that you hike less and spend more time on the forums.
Mine got deleted as well - sure, B87 might go on a bit about London, but it's clear Botev was goading B87 into responding and there's no need for it at all. Just a shame it worked.

Definitely.

Yeah, but the moderation is going down the drain. I was banned for racism and given a FINAL WARNING. Racism. Me.

I think both of them are idiots honestly. Arguing over two climates that are marginally different. I don't understand why people on this forum make everything a p*ssing contest "my climate is better than yours" very juvenile behavior. Both climates suck. That settles it.

So Chicago is warmer. Depends on which station though I'm guessing.
Heathrow is warmer than O'Hare, LWC and St James's Park are warmer than anywhere in Chicago.

You don't know that for sure. Not sure about St. James Park. Do you have access to the data?

LWC only has 17 years of data and during that period only 45-50% available?

With that little data Weather Online show April 11.9C Oct: 13.5C. The April Mean at LWC is probably higher than anywhere in Chicago, but for October, 13.5C over 17 years (and with only half the data for that period) is probably not higher than the UofC which has a 30 year Mean of 13.4C or Northerly Island which has a Mean of 13.3C in October. I would also make an argument that DePaul University in Lincoln Park (very strong UHI near the lake) is warmer than both UofC and Northerly Island, but their data is not made public.

LWC is a non-standard rooftop site anyway so it doesn't really matter what temperatures it records - it doesn't count. The only reason he keeps quoting it is because it gives unusually high minima, with being on a roof and everything

Wait what! It's on a roof! LOL Of course that would raise the temperatures and skew the means. Their hasn't been a roof top station in Chicago since the late 1800's when the official station was on the roof of the old courthouse building LOL

I replied to a Chinese person who was annoyed how Western athletes didn't respect Chinese athletes in the proper manner. I said "well, ching chong, hong kong". That phrase is used in Finnish as, "oh well, cultural differences. Sometimes used as well as derogatory, sometimes innocent, sometimes racist". I googled that "ching chong" is a racist term in the US. I didn't know it at all before I googled what was so racist in my post.

Well, anyway, I made a mistake, but me labeled as a racist seems unfair. Especially when on the Europe forums you can call any Muslim a subhuman without any sanctions.
