We average 44 days annually. Would prefer around 80. That would cover most of the summer months

About 120 would be good. In addition, I would want 60 days with 35°C temperatures, 25 days with 40°C temperatures and 1 45°C day(s) a year.

In my ideal climate, I'd have a week of 30°C in June / July / August, with a handful of days in May and September. So all in all, probably around 25 days of 30°C+

My dream climate is a high variance climate with average summer high of 24C. There will be a few heat waves (my definition: 3+ days of >27C high) which will bring the temperature over 30C a total of 3-4 days a year.

30C is within but towards the high end of my preferred temperatures so the number of days a climate has above this could very a lot. In theory it could be every day above 30C if every day was only a little above or no days above 30C if every day got to the high 20s.

We average around 100 which seems about right. Upper 80s F aren't that bad. I wouldn't mind up to 125 or so IF it was comprised mostly of 86-89 degree days in May and September.
