It's not too bad Virginia Beach's dew point never went above 57F yesterday.

London isn't far from Sahara.

If it traveled here from Sahara it would be 2,500 miles.

Sun angle is the same as it is September 6th. Kinda weird since temps only get to 40s/50s now.

Still a lot milder than a week and a half ago. Temperatures look much stabler than before too. Where is our weather coming from?

Yup, I think I mentioned it couple weeks ago that we would see more seasonable temps then very cold but we'll still get the spikes cold and warm. Enjoy.

Havent looked into it but I believe the northern jet lifted north and we have more ridging in the southeast. Plus the sun is helping spike things.

Actually look whats swinging by... A nice cold trough. But obviously it's not like effects of a trough in January. But it's 15 below normal from Great lakes area right now.

Pretty benign over the U.S with no Deep troughs or pumped Ridges at the moment

A look at the 500mb Heights and Wind Gusts at the surface and temps on the right.

The 50s along the coast is NOT water related. 850s below freezing with downslope winds.
Look at the Satellite.

They are right next door. Only 1960 miles/3154 km away. That would be like going from Chicago to San Salvador, El Salvador, which is right around the corner from us

Btw, I am NOT liking JB's forecast for the summer in my region.

Again, hurricane season isn't in June, starts in August, maybe in late July. Some you have nothing to worry about.
