Today was a real nice Spring day. High temp of 72F and mostly sunny skies.

Here are a couple of pics:

Trees are leafing out nicely. No where near as green as Louisiana and Alabama.

And last week in Gulf Shores, AL. Beautiful sugar white sand beach and blue water. Temps were in the low 80'sF.
Very nice summer day for all the Canadians that were swimming in the Gulf of Mexico.

Meanwhile in the US South, you know that lousy subtropical climate, has forecast high temps in the upper 70'sF to low 80'sF, while the subtropical paradise of Nice, France can barely manage 65F in the 8 forecast.

Mobile AL,:

Canada can't even manage 71F ocean water in the depths of summer, lol.

How is that forecast working out for you in Winnipeg. From Enviro Canada for Winnipeg.

No wonder you can't move two feet in the US South in winter without bumping into a Canadian.

Nice at 43N should never be compared to a city at 30N. It takes a while for places around the med to warm up during spring.

I loved Spring when I lived in Palma. A nice gradual warm up is much better than going from 9C to 28C in the space of three days.

Exactly. The South of Spain doesn't get into the 30's until June.

Spain is hot for its latitude but you have to remember that its quite far north.

Rhubarb more or less ready for eating April 27. even here in far northern Trondheim (and with no help, no cover and no fertilizer). Very early this year due to the warm winter and warm April. We have harvested Chives (onion) from own garden twice for dinner already. So early this year...

Green hedges, about one to two weeks earlier than average

Nice.. I forgot what 70s felt like. Right now it's 51°F here with clouds around.

Dew points rising in the South now 60s up into Missouri. Watch those storms blossom!

Check out how hot it feels in Corpus Christi.

Central U.S should get ready for the real heat (well above normal temps, May-July! That's my opinion! Maybe bad drought status
