They are already above normal this month having 3.4" from the 3/3/14 storm so chances are after Monday they might have double their normal March snowfall.
Last time over 5" was in 2009 with 9.0"

High temp of 60F one day, freezing cold the next. I know March swings a lot, but are these kinds of temp swings common anywhere else in the world? I hate March.
No pollution during late autumn or winter inversions trapping cold air in the valley? Here pollution is locally produced, though usually at some point in spring when the haze gets thick with a combination of human-produced particulates and pollen and the wind comes from the east, we partly blame it on Germany and Poland.
The inordinate amount of diesel-fueled cars doesn't help and the European NEDC driving cycle for measuring pollutant emissions is a joke compared to the EPA one.
