So then assuming that January holds the year's lowest record high (by month) and that July holds the year's highest record low (by month), then the temperature range that Denver could record during any given month of the year is 42 to 76 degrees F. Pretty wide range!

Since 2000: 15.5°C to 19.9°C, this is typically the range of temps which can be recorded in any month these years.

In Sydney, we can have maximums in the low 20s C (70-75F) in any month of the year. Similarly for minimum temperatures in the mid teens C (lower to middle 60s F). Not that difficult to achieve in a climate that can feel aseasonal at times.

Is LA really that hot. Then why do people always say the weather is so comfortable . When people talk about comfortable climates, I expect a high temperature range from 49 in January to 81 in July.

8C is in July? ...... that sounds a bit suspect to me. I would have thought 2 or 3C would be more likely for London, even with the UHI.
