That really does not look like the Italy I visited a few years ago. Looks cleaner, fresher and more welcoming than Rome.

Yes here it does, but further north, Lake Superior still has an incredible amount of ice for this late in the season.

Today about sunset at the Weser Beach with our "skyline" in the background.
It was still quite warm then @8:45 PM it was about 19°C / 66°F.

Water temperature is now about 12°C / 54°F and yet i have already seen people swimming in the water.
I only went in the water with my feet, i do swim in the sea when it is warm enough, but for this the water should have at least about 18°C / 65°F.

Beautiful. Half Dome always makes for dramatic photos.

These are from last weekend, but it's interesting how drastically different the conditions can be with only a little distance and elevation change. It's still winter-like here and in these photos (the first is only 45 miles away, the second 70 miles away) it's full on spring:
