What I understood from you Rozenn (considering my experience in Paris right now) :

Regarding the hell temp at midnight, that's from an amateur station in the Latin Quarter (the owner owns a heavily used weather website and is also the weatherman on a 24-hour news TV channel):
Meteociel - Observations Paris Saint-Germain-des-Prs (75) - donnes mto de la station - Tableaux horaires en temps réel

It's probably a good tool for someone living in an apartment in the city center, but certainly not up to the WMO standards. Shouldn't be on Meteociel's Europe-wide map. It was still hell at 3 am and didn't drop much below hell.

The official weather station, Montsouris, was already down to hell at midnight.

For suburban stations, the warmest night I can recall at Orly airport was hell at 1 am:
Meteociel - Observations Orly (91) - donnes mto de la station - Tableaux horaires en temps réel

The starkest difference I've seen was ~15°C on lows between Montsouris and Brétigny airfield 25 km south of it back in January 2010.

...

Apparently it's the hottest day of June since 1945 for France...

Might June be warmer than July for the UK?

As long as July is at least average, I don't care what the first week is like (as happened in 2005).

It's looking like we will have another cloudier than average summer, if that is accurate though.

I'm in early stages of planning a trip to Cornwall. I'm looking for most scenic coastline with great pub culture, good architecture and aesthetically pleasing. Good food too. Seafood preferably. Nice beachess too. Location recommendations for me? I'm kind of a night owl also. Up late and sleep in.

Cornwall is rainy and cool even in the summer, so don't expect it to be anything like the rest of the south. Cornwall has the coolest summers of anywhere in England (excluding places at high elevation).

The north coast between Padstow and St Ives is good for beaches and pubs. Newquay is the main surfing spot, and there are also good beaches at Perranporth and St Ives.

What about Torquay or Penzance?

Torquay looks nice, I've not been there though.

I think the southern Cornwall coast is nicer than the northern one.
