It's empty but was recently renovated and waiting for a new tenant.

Ah no way. I used to walk by that building every day too.
Such a shame as it's a nice building.

Looks like it's the end for this building. The roof is on fire now.

It makes me sick to watch such an integral part of this city's history going up in flames.

It's dark out! Sunset is not at 7 pm as I assumed for being near the equinox.

That fire in Leeds reminds me of the grand old building on Southsea seafront that used to be a club (under many different names over the years from 5th Avenue to Time & Envy). The building was bought by Harry Redknapp who wanted to demolish it to build a "lovely" modern apartment block, but he was refused by the council as it was a listed building... Fast forward to when the riots were going on in 2011 & strangely the empty building caught fire in broad daylight & it had to be demolished... Make of that what you will, but he's not called Dirty Harry in Portsmouth for nothing

Thankfully the building survived but the roof is pretty much gone and the interior badly damaged. A man has been arrested. A lot of people think it was an insurance job.

What a surprise.

Wasn't "kids playing with matches" this time...

Guess not.

I guess this isn't too bad. It opens up a lot of possibilities actually. Something special could be done with it - maybe a glass roof or something.
