And here's this weekend.. NUTS for this time of year. Struggling past 30s again? I'll be walking outside thinking its January again. Departures 15-20 below normal for the highs.

540 thickness down to NC this time of yr is amazing. Farmers gotta be ready for some 30s overnight down there!

Trough digs down deep again.
36 in NYC? Blech! Kurva!

Current 850mb Temps

South flow at the Mid Levels helped push the freezing line at 4500' up to Canada. +6C over Pittsburgh right now. Surface hitting 50s. 60s in West Virginia!

New England still below freezing at that level but will change tomorrow and then drop back Friday. So the summits will warm above freezing tomorrow, then drop back and get damn cold this weekend. Icy trails!?

Yes! 70F with a dewpoint of 54, by far the most warm & humid combo of the year. Windows open.

Very happy that it turned out to be sunnier today than forecast. I think this is the first time ever that the Melbourne office predicted worse weather than what we got.

Warm front over the area now. Drizzling. Temps still below normal Philly to Hartford, give it time. 70s into Ohio! Pittsburgh 64

As of 25th, March has hosted NO tornadoes. New record. Season is running 85% below norm!! That's about to change!

Aside from the cold this weekend, nothing really interesting to me around here except now April 4 timeframe. Both GFS & EURO show a strong storm. AND both show a strong rain storm April 2nd. Back to back? Maine gets hit with a blizzard on the 2nd one with the GFS.

Normal is 49F at this hour for Pittsburgh. They are at their High of the day and year. Will they hit 70?

The -2 in August 2014 looks so flukish unless that's the beginning of a turn around? How about this year?
January was 0.2°C above average and February 0.8°C below, so breaking the streak. I'd rather have it stay above normal till October though. No more cool Auguts please! Wait, I'm guaranteed a warm one given my location...
