Can you guys feel the changes?

Wednesday still the warmest day of next 10 in Northeast.

NAM model usually has a warm bias but with how today went, we never know.

Wednesday afternoon temps here from NAM18z run.

70s into Virginia
60s into NJ
50s across CT and into Eastern MA.

We are really gonna feel it and see the melting by mid week.

I had said I needed just 1 more snowstorm...and I got it... now I'm transitioning into the next season.
:-) Hope it goes easy on me.

Hiked up a mountain today. The barometer app on my phone got confused and decided the summit was at sea level. Going down produced interesting readings...

Hmm. Snowstorm next weekend? Looks too warm... Next week's temperatures don't look good for the snowpack:

Cold arctic air flow got unstuck.

There is possibility for the first 80s temperature on Wednesday. Recent 80s in last season was November 12th.

An animated GIF comparing US snow cover between March 1st and March 8th. Lower Midwest, Great Plains and much of the South lost its snow cover while only Connecticut gained snow cover.

It hasn't reached 80F (27C) in Alexandria, LA since November 4 last year. It got up to 79F this past Wednesday.

This coming week it will mostly be in the 60's F with plenty of rain and may approach 70F towards the weekend. Today it never got past 52F.

Still 6 days away... My gut says it starts as snow and changes to rain, especially for MA. We'll see.

NWS Gray for next week's "cool" shot.

THE AIR MASS WILL BE MODIFIED SOME SO TEMPERATURES SHOULD NOT BE AS EXTREMELY COLD AS IN THE PAST ARCTIC HIGHS THAT MADE THEIR VISITS. THE NEXT SYSTEM THAT WILL NEED TO BE WATCHED WILL BE OVER NEXT WEEKEND AND HOW IT EVOLVES. OVERALL STATYED WITH SUPERBLEND
GUIDANCE FOR THE OUTLOOK PERIOD.
