Up to 78 days now. We'll definitely reach 100, I think. Maybe 110.

Not many north of Virginia compared to normal.

71 days so far 90F or above.

6 days at 100F or above. Max temp of 105F on August 10.

There hasn't been a high below 90F since July 2. But we may get another the next day or two as NWS is predicting 90F tomorrow and 89F Thursday.

Still on zero days here, but I'm halfway there today, with a temperature of 16C at present.

Check out Yakutsk again.

It was 33F (0C) three mornings ago, on August 21st.

This morning (Aug 24th) started out in the mid-upper 40s F, as usual.

Then the temp skyrocketed to a record-shattering 92F (33C), the hottest temperature ever recorded so late in the season, as well as the third time this year above 90F (most years don't reach at all).

Weather History for Yakutsk, Russia | Weather Underground

The heat is expected to last into next week, then back into mid 60s F for max temps, which is avg for this part of the year.

I'd really be excited if a cold spell of this magnitude happened in late winter. Not likely though.

21 days will be the final score
(not counting days that would have been rounded up to 90 °F)

So glad I don't live in a place that gets dozens of them per year.
