32 days, in inland Orange County, CA. Every month this year except January has at least one. The 90+ degree days are spread out all over the place; the longest streak is 5 consecutive days which has happened three times (mid-March, end April/beginning May, and mid-August). And we are probably going to get at least 5 days straight at 90+ this week.

Climatology of North Georgia (excluding the Mountains)
Temperature - The area experiences all four seasons. Summers typically consist of long spells of warm and humid weather. Average afternoon high temperatures are in the upper 80s to around 90. Readings of 90 or higher can be expected on 30 to 60 days.

Climatology of Central Georgia
TemperatureTemperature - The area experiences all four seasons. Summers typically consist of long spells of warm and humid weather. Average afternoon high temperatures are in the lower 90s. Readings of 90 or higher can be expected on 70 to 80 days.

Which one is Atlanta? (it's in climate Div 2, which makes it northern)

2) Monthly summarized data
3) Year range: por-2015
4) Variable: Max temp
5) Summary: Number of days
6) Threshold: >= 90

Are you saying you use the mean calculated by the entire record?

And there is no official average being used?

Yes that's how I did it.

I don't know if there's an official record with adjustments. Maybe 1981-2010?

I like how the NWS puts it.

" Readings of 90 or higher can be expected on 30 to 60 days"

Jealous of those DPs. Ours hasn't reached 70 this month.
