Linux is such a pain in the ass from an administrator's point of view. Something that should be simple is made ever more complicated by the fact that you have to do everything on command line

Warm nights are a nightmare for me. I sleep completely naked, but with maybe a sheet or part of the duvet on me. I certainly prefer winter when it comes to sleeping.
It also doesn't help that my missus is a cuddler. I like to be left alone when I sleep whereas she likes to hook her legs over mine.

It takes some time to get used to but for servers it's the way to go imo.

I'm used to warm nights now.

What are you trying to do? There is a GUI front-end for Linux, but I assume whatever you're doing doesn't have that.

You were in hotel A/C your whole trip, so night temperature made no different comfort-wise for you.

Even though it's barely mid August, I feel like the summer is over and we're winding down into Autumn. I suppose we are approaching Autumn, but we've only just passed the warmest time of year.
I keep thinking that the end of next month is October, which means 6 months of rubbish
Even so, I'd love to see a really cold winter, and loads of snow.

I have to get out of the UK. I am "moving" to England but I can't be bothered with the terrible weather and short day length in winter. It is enough to drive you insane.

It is obviously better in England but it is still not like NYC.

Not really. We were out in it exercising and shopping/eating. It is no big deal to me now.

The trip helped me adjust my preferences for climate again.

I have a north facing bedroom too, so it's not actually that warm. It's just that I'm always warm this time of year. During heatwaves I'm a complete mess when I'm in bed.
