I predict that at the rate things are going, that the Indianapolis area could experience its first frost by late September or early October, with the possibility of the first freeze of the season being in early to mid October, and a growing season ending freeze by mid or late October in Indianapolis.
I'm fine with people having different opinions but this isn't a thread about what people want, it's about what you think is most likely to happen, and in that regard I don't think it's reasonable to "predict" that London will go the entire winter without a freeze.
Heathrow doesn't get a freeze in most years. It only averages 1 day annually because they tend to cluster in cold winters.
I'm gonna be optimistic and say this winter is going to be cooler than normal, with a record breaking cold snap in mid-January. We'll get a freeze on January 14th.....hopefully.
I'm gonna revise my guess as this arctic polar tundra pattern has taken over again. 15 September now.
