Current Alerts. Not often I see the pinks for you guys out there. (Winter Storm Warning)
We get Winter Storm Warnings pretty regularly around my neck of the woods, but it's usually just a narrow band running along the Cascades. But it is very unusual to see for all of the Puget Sound area, and especially the southern Oregon coast. I'm supposed to get up to 15 inches of snow which is pretty common, but the 40 mph winds forecast with it almost never happen. But the snowblower is ready, went to the beer store last night, so it's time for snow. Been a pretty quiet winter so far.
Looks like Seattle is still going to get about six inches, there's a low forming in the sweet spot off the coast that will draw cold air from the north, and moisture in off the Pacific.
And snow totals by Saturday morning.
Then possibly more snow next week, and the GFS models have been consistently cold for the next two weeks.
