This is the most October snow since 1994 according to nowdata.
October snow in Rochester? Makes me more glad I left 15 years ago. Here in Phoenix, it's 1pm and Mostly Cloudy (stratus) and 93° with a 46° dewpoint, heat index is 89°

Whoa. Nice stat!
It's like a December day today... Amazing. (November would be 40s and 50s), we're struggling past 30s and now nightime in a couple hours. Cloudy and drizzling all day
It hit 80 here today, and it's not supposed to drop below 50 in the next 10 days. At least I saw some fog briefly this morning. That was the first time I saw fog in Oklahoma. I wish fog were more common here; I like it. I also hope I see snow before I go on winter break.
81 F outside and very windy. Anyone know if avocado plants are wind sensitive? I'm thinking of bringing my plant in.
Not sure, I'd bring it in to be on the safe side, my banana blows over if I look at it the wrong way. Winds recently picked up here, but it's 28 degrees cooler than where you are.

Thanks, I'll bring it inside just in case.
At what temp do you bring your banana plant inside? I'm gonna bring my plant anytime it's below about 55 F or too windy outside. 60 - 85 F is optimal for avocado plants apparently.
This October snowstorm has impressed us. 1-3" across northern CT, 2-4" in NY, MA & now VT.
5:55pm radar and storm reports last hour
