Maybe Jacksonville is overestimating the cold, although Birmingham, AL and Jackson, MS have issued Freeze Warnings too, so Atlanta is an outlier. I suppose we'll find out tomorrow.

A freeze warning was just issued here as well, but NWS is forecasting 33F tonight right now.

Nothing was issued for last night, and we ended up getting down to 30F.

Nice afternoon here with a blue dome sky and 61F (DP of 25F) at 3 PM.

Pinnacle hill, the highest point in Rochester at 750', is only a few miles northwest of my house. My house is at about 500' so you could be right. Cobbs Hill at about 650' is even closer and within sight of my house.

At least now the snow is starting to accumulate on my cars and in my yard. Still only an inch or so.

Here's a couple of pics from my driveway and front yard.

Today fell way short of the forecast with a high of 73°, now dropping into the 60's with rain starting to fall.

Tomorrow, our first day of winter (fall Oct 1st-Nov 20th; winter Nov 21st-Mar 10th) will be 8° below normal with rain and a high of 68° (norm 76°)
