I get the feeling these types act this way to make themselves appear more empathetic, sometimes I don't really think it's genuine....

I call these types "fake activists".....
Unfortunately, it looks as though calling someone "racist" is soon going to be about as scathing as saying "liar liar pants on fire!"

That said, real racism is terrible and has led to the suffering, poverty, enslavement and killing of many innocent people. The recent sharp turn right of the republican party is in part a racist backlash by angry white men against minorities and woman gaining more power and influence and are no longer being controlled. Unfortunately, the left has trivialized racism and has turned to minority driven politics to try and combat racism, which while still a problem, but no where near to the extent it was back in the 60s and have made even small, meaningless things such as not giving your friend chips turn into racism. It's the reason all the leftists can go about saying trump supporters are all racists. Some of them are for sure, but a majority are not or at least are not consciously racist. It seems to be taking a serious issue and slapping in onto opponents to try and attract voters "oh he's a racist, now vote for me" and establish a sense of superiority "they're all racists and horrible people" when in reality it is a terrible issue that is being trivialized and overused.
I personally have no problems communicating with different races. Where I clash is in relation to their expectations of society.. If you are interested lol

That's so very sad. Sorry to hear this.

Shockingly young age to leave this world. Just a couple of years older than me in fact.

And just a couple years younger than my mum. Definitely no age to go.

My condolences, Dean.

here's a map of opioate death rates. New England and upper Appalachia appear to be two separate clusters that got worst hit and then scattered parts of the rural West.
