Wow that's expensive AF. Where do the cheapest wines come from usually?
As for me, I hate getting wasted on wine, even if it's often the cheapest option. I don't like drinking wine on its own actually, wine is made to compliment meals. Yeah that red wine is good, but I'll have a slice of that moldy cheese as well, thanks.
Really, to get wasted, nothing beats vodka. Pretty neutral taste, quite cheap for the alcohol content and pretty much no hangover.
The cheapest for reds are Spain, Chile and South Africa. For whites Spain, Germany and South Africa. And it's not about import costs but taxation. Cheap domestic fruit wines are in the same price level as cheap reds and whites, like €7 a 0.75 L bottle.
Sweden is the unhappiest of the Nordics because they are health nazis.
