Current pattern? No, but it's evolving. That pattern on the map is of strong La Nina.


Weak or maybe moderate La Ninas would see more warmth in south







Very dry the last 4-6 weeks here

On Sunday Santa Maria had 3 thunderstorms. The 2nd storm was the most intense and severe one out of the 3 that day. There was non-stop thunder and lightning along with extremely large rain drops the size of golf balls and baseballs. The rain was very intense and the storm was moving at 40 MPH! Strongest storm I have ever seen in Santa Maria. (The video of the storm was NOT from me)

That "1" over the Atlantic is Jose. Models have been inching closer and closer each day. Still too far for impacts.
