Kinda.. Ridge still out west, (80s in Montana)... I'd say its zonal for us or just bland... that's why its not truly hot but is warm (70s). There is a slight bump with the upper level. I guess technically you can call it one?
80s are forecast for a couple days though, and summer-like dews in the 60s.

So warmer here than in parts of Georgia; low 60s in Atlanta. Interesting how quickly Irma transitioned to a cool extratropical low once it no longer had hot sea water feeding it. Existing trough over the eastern US to the north must have help feed it cool air faster.

True, 80s.. was speaking at the moment which was 70s yesterday and day before... More 80s now upcoming thanks to the pattern changing with a ridge in the East..

12pm map.. You can see why Jose is doing a Loopdy Loop. Upper Low to the Northeast of it. Irma to its NorthWest.

Sharp cut off with Irma's clouds in southern states. Must look interesting.

It's the altitude. There are so many mountains in the west.

Definitely the first few systems is mountain stuff thanks to the Jet Stream dipping over the Rockies sending in colder air. If there was a ridge like has been recent weeks, the mountains wouldnt even get snow. At least not in September/October below 8000'.

What's going on over there?

Standard autumnal storm, though they usually don't appear until October. Very unusual to have one this strong in September.

It's very warm today and even hotter next few days. Plan to go swimming later. 81 right now and sunny. Looks like we have an Indian Summer. Honestly this week is looking warmer than this past August in general -.- smh

Funny how I don't mind an Indian Summer when I live up north but down south they are the worst. I guess cuz I know it's gonna get much colder after this so why not soak it up. Funny how it's above average here but this average for north Texas in September.
